AMI Montessori Diploma Course – Children’s House

The purpose of this Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) course is the in depth study of the Montessori method and practice concerning the development of the child between 3 and 6 years old.

The course offered by MIB for the 3-6 year age group comprises approximately 900 hours which include: 

    • theory lectures
    • group discussions
    • presentations of materials
    • material making
    • supervised practice (140 hours)
    • observation in the classroom (a minimum of 90 hours)
    • practice in Montessori classrooms (a minimum of 80 hours)

This schedule does not include individual working hours (reading, writing of essays and personal album making). 

Requirements for obtaining the diploma

The diploma is granted to the students whose attendance is over 90%, submit their homework on time based on the required standards, complete their hours of observation and of practice, make the materials requested during the training and pass the written and oral exams at the end of the training course.

Language of training: the course will be held in Romanian with English translation if needed.

The structure of the training course will be the following:

The first module: the 24th of May to 14th of July 2021 (8 weeks)

The second module: the 10th of January to the 18th of February 2022 (6 weeks)

The third module: the 23rd of May to 2nd of July 2022 (6 weeks)

Location of trainingMontessori Institute of Bucharest, Piața Victoriei Square, 2-4 Dragoslavele Street, first floor, District 1, Bucharest.

Course enrollment procedure

  1. Fill out the application form and upload it in the “Enrolling in a course” section together with your CV, a scanned copy of your ID and the data processing agreement.
  2. Pay the 100 eur registration fee.
  3. Schedule an interview so that we get to know each other and you find out more about the course.
  4. Send all the necessary documents and sign the contract.
  5. First invoice payment (depending on the chosen payment method).

*The students are considered enrolled as soon as the first payment is made.

Only Higher Education graduates can enroll in this course.

The diploma obtained upon course graduation is internationally recognised for its outstanding level of quality for preparing educators. Those who have obtained the AMI diploma, but do not have a professional training background as an educator, have the option to work in Montessori institutions registered as Educational Centers. In order to have the option to work in a kindergarten authorised or accredited by the Ministry of Education, graduates need to have educator qualifications as well, as required by the Ministry of Education.
